Work on doodles began in 2015. The first works on paper in their current form were created in 2017. Using this technique, Didier Terme creates forms that offer us multiple interpretations. Depending on whether we are close to the work or farther away, whether we are looking at it head-on or sideways, our visual perceptions shift, and the mind can freely focus on each of them. Thus, the painter's work invites us to follow the well-known path of the "museum visitor," who approaches the work, brushing it with their face to appreciate its "detail," and then steps back a few meters to grasp its full scope.
