Biography
Ronceval is a very young sculptor, who works between Lyon and St Etienne.
He began sculpting as an autodidact, which allowed him to experiment with various forms outside the constraints of any framework, apart from the particular technical constraints specific to "clay", which when cooked, turns out to be a capricious material full of surprises.
Smoking the pieces, after applying a patina with various metal oxides, is the technique he uses most frequently after firing the pieces. He began to create bronzes, which were very popular in our galleries.
Having had a strong attachment to animals since childhood, particularly those of the African savannah, it is naturally towards the animal world that he has oriented…
