Biography
From the sky to the earth, visual artist and photographer Manolo Chrétien is fascinated by the effects of gravity on the elements. Atmospheric pressure, material deformation, distortion, clouds, currents, winds, waves, fluid dynamics, erosion... all these terms have accompanied him daily since his birth at the end of the runway of the Orange air base in 1966.
Manolo describes himself thus: “I am eternally amazed, who seizes the unexpected and composes with an uninterrupted child's gaze... A tracker of fluidities, I am definitively guided by the ephemeral transformation of the elements.”
Raised between the lights of the Mediterranean and the English Channel, Manolo Chrétien was bottle-fed on kerosene at the end of the Orange runway…
