Biography
Fifax is a painter born in 1962 in Paris.
A self-taught painter, he has been drawing since childhood, inspired by the novels of Jules Verne.
His artistic universe is nourished by his travels, particularly in the United States. His figurative paintings are situated on the border between reality and imagination.
Claiming no affiliation with any school, he readily acknowledges several influences, as diverse as those of Vermeer and Constable. He monopolizes space and defies the laws of physics to create a universe without constraints.
When glass towers stand alongside brick buildings, when their height taunts pedestrians, Fifax soaks up this urban atmosphere to give us unusual views.
